The boys were followed closely by Dubai Millennium School 9th grade students Arun Anand (14) and Fadil Eledeath (14). The one-day quiz competition ended when six schools faced off in the final round. No less than 45 schools participated in the event, four of which won and will be leaving on an all-expenses-paid trip to Singapore.
The quiz was conducted by quiz master G Krishnamurti.
Students said the quiz has become a highly sought-after event among members of the school community. Best friends and quiz teammates Anand and Fadil said they’ve been testing for over four years. Anand said: “We are best friends and since we started doing quizzes together we have noticed a definite change in quiz standards in Dubai. Winners Adwaith and Rutwik agreed that the standards have risen considerably and are much better than before. The two remaining teams were respectively two students from Dubai Scholars and Our Own English High School, Sharjah.
The event was organized by Big Pond Global Business (DMCC) and the Singapore Tourism Board.
